Unicommerce Q2 Results: Profit Rises 11% Year-on-Year to ₹64 Million; Revenue Grows 15%

E-commerce SaaS company Unicommerce reported a consolidated net profit of 640 million rupees for the quarter ending in September (within the 2027 fiscal year), an 11% increase from 580 million rupees in the same period last year.

Compared to the previous quarter, net profit grew by 37%, reaching 470 million rupees.

Operating revenue for the quarter rose by 15% year-on-year and 15% quarter-on-quarter, reaching 59.1 million rupees. Including 1.6 million rupees in other income, total revenue reached 60.7 million rupees—a 16% increase from 52.2 million rupees in the same period last year.

However, total expenses increased by 19% year-on-year to 5.28 billion rupees, outpacing revenue growth.

The growth in net profit was supported by a decrease in tax expenses, which fell from 20 million rupees in the second quarter of the 2026 fiscal year to 14 million rupees. This figure includes a deferred tax credit of 14 million rupees, compared to 0.85 million rupees in the same period the previous year.

Adjusted EBITDA for the quarter stood at 1 billion rupees, representing an adjusted EBITDA margin of 17%.

The company noted that its profitability has been impacted by planned investments in product R&D, talent, sales, and marketing. It expects profitability to improve in the second half of the 2027 fiscal year as the pace of these “incremental investments” slows down.

During the quarter, the company added 121 enterprise clients, including brands such as Benetton, Macho, and Furlenco. Additionally, it launched “DNA”—a second-generation AI-powered offering for its Uniware platform—which enables clients to automate responses to operational needs and make faster, data-driven decisions.

The company attributed its growth to the sustained momentum of its two core business units: Uniware and Shipway. Revenue from its e-commerce order management platform, Uniware, grew by 14.5% year-on-year, while revenue from Shipway increased by 15.7% year-on-year.

“Uniware’s growth momentum continues to improve, driven by the addition of new enterprise clients and the increasing adoption of new modules. Shipway has surpassed the 100 million rupee mark in annualized revenue, benefiting from its independently expanded client base and growing cross-selling synergies with Uniware. Our international business also continues to see profitable growth,” stated Kapil Makhija, CEO and Managing Director.

For context, Unicommerce is part of Snapdeal. It provides an e-commerce enablement SaaS platform that offers end-to-end e-commerce operations management for brands, sellers, and logistics service providers.

Notably, AceVector—the parent company of both Unicommerce and Snapdeal—recently went public. The company raised 4.2 billion rupees through an IPO, consisting of a fresh issue of shares worth 2.87 billion rupees and an offer for sale (OFS) of up to 41.6 million shares, valued at 1.33 billion rupees based on the issue price. Although the IPO was oversubscribed 4.93 times, AceVector’s shares debuted at an 18.5% discount to the issue price, and the stock has continued to decline amid a lukewarm market response.

Shares of Unicommerce closed 4.58% lower on the Bombay Stock Exchange, ending at 76.09 rupees per share.
